WHEN HISTORIC STRUCTURES ARE DEMOLISHED, A PART OF OURSELVES IS RELEGATED TO MEMORY AND CONDEMNED TO BE FORGOTTEN. IN THE REDISCOVERY OF OUR ABANDONED, OFF-LIMITS, OR OTHERWISE HIDDEN ENVIRONMENTS, I DOCUMENT THEIR EXISTENCE AS WELL AS OUR OWN THROUGH THE PHOTOGRAPHY AND ADVENTURES PRESENTED HERE
As soon as I learned this building was meeting its demise, I decided to go check it out. As it turns out, the destruction was already well underway. They had the perimeter all fenced off, but they left one small gap in the fence.
I think old hospitals rock. There is something extra creepy about them. The fact that they housed so many ill and dying people totally gives me the heebie geebies!
I love these last pictures. I really wish they make sonething out of them rather than demolish them.
